  • @djacksmelb I have just one more Ambulance related question. Since the Sprinter 315 model is being introduced since 2007 I still see the occasional Sprinter 316. Do you happen to have heard anything as to when Ambulance Victoria plans to retire the Sprinter 316 Ambulances from service?

  • @Tubetheweb The 316 series are almost completely phased out. Retiring at about 220,000km, they then go to auction and make good vans for tradesmen, campervans etc. There are only a handful left on the road.

  • @djacksmelb thanks for uploading. Tell me, is that ambulance an older Mercedes Benz Sprinter or one of those newer Sprinter vans with the new LED flashing lights? Just wondering.

  • @Tubetheweb this is a Mercedes Sprinter 315, LED lights and sirens fitted by Mader. ETT is the other company who fits out the trucks. Their sirens have a higher pitch and longer wail.

  • @djacksmelb are you a paramedic and/or what is the fastest speed you recall ever doing in an ambulance when responding to an emergency? I guess the top speed on any car is 200-220 km/h, eh?

  • @SierraTAS Thanks!

  • @Tubetheweb Vic pol use Hazard Systems stuff (probably not strictly Hazard though): hazard.com.au
