gort21, your comment is profoundly ignorant. You only consider one factor (land area) and ignore all others. Solar plants take up an area of land, and that’s it. No pollution, nothing. Coal plants produce huge quantities of pollution (toxic chemicals, emissions, etc.) to the air, water, and land. One also must consider the vast areas of land devastated in the mining of all that coal, the mountaintops blown completely apart, the tons and tons of rubble dumped into streams, the deforestation, etc.
Near Fallon Nv they are building a 6 Megawhatt solar power plant . Good right . Wrong It will cover 16 acers of land and turn the ground under the panels uninhabitable for the native desert species. A coal plant that produces 700 megawhats can be put on about 5 -10 acers. A natural gas plant about the same. We need mr fusion like on back to the future. Or ferment the poop produced at Al Gores unicorn farm.
@lialammas really? what if it's cloudy? did that just totally pop your theory? I bet it did. I think Nuclear, (Helium Fusion) is the way. I mean, it has it's flaws, (like it doesn't exist yet) but it honestly is more reliable.
Solar is the way !!!! I had always advocate for my building to think about using that resource we have available. It is expensive to install the panels but it pays with time.
YEAAAHHH BABYY!! Can't wait for this to be broadcast! hahaha I'm like one of those loud Yokels who hoot for shows like Jerry Springer or some other horrible show, but instead I hoot for SCIENCE!!! haha i can't get enough of this show. Also i have manage to hook both of my younger siblings to watching this. Thanks for the preview keep uploading the goodstuff. :)
