Cooking with Dano

The video to the album "Off The Hotplate", produced by students of Lake Illawarra High School in 2002 as part of the NSW KoolSkools program (koolskools.com.au).

Chef Dano and his Assistant Candy begin with the recipe book to Off The Hotplate, adding songs/ingredients and mixing well, creating the Album itself.

Audio is 'Galaxies' written and performed by Tay Plain and track 9 off the album. Camera work by Luke Fromhold, Dane Harris & Scott Warren. Direction and production by Luke Fromhold and Chantelle Thomas.

At the 2002 KoolSkools Awards at the Metro, LIHS took out the following titles:

-Best Acoustic Song (Katie Goodes - Far Away)
-Best Cover Version (Alicia Fogarty - All You Wanted)
-Best Instrumentalist: Pianist (Ross McCaughey - Don't Mind)
-Best Programming (Chris Gagnuss - G02)
-Best Multimedia Presentation (Dane Harris, Chantelle Thomas, Luke Fromhold - Cooking With Dano)

And were further nominated for:

-Best Instrumentalist: Drummer (Aaron McCoullough)
-Best Instrumentalist: Guitar (Katie Goodes)
-Best Female Vocalist (Alicia Fogarty - All You Wanted)
-Best Female Vocalist (Rachael Vasco - Dame Ou Te Amor)
-Best Ballad (Rachael Vasco - Never Forget Your Face)
-Best Male Vocalist (Tay Plain - More)
-Best Vocal Arrangement (Simple Edition - More)
-Best Programming (DJ Royba - New Beginning)
-Best Cover Artwork (Meredith Thompson, Ben Cooper)
