Pixel Vision #07 - Tomb Raider Contest (Time Lapse)

We've got a special Pixel Vision for the release of Tomb Raider and the Deviant Art contest. Josh has really outdone himself with his vision of the new Lara Croft, fitting with the survival theme of game.

This is our first special in the Pixel Vision series, we'll definitely be doing more for upcoming game releases.

Erm, its a mixture of colour balancing layers and soft light/colour layers to change it all :)

How do you get the windows like that at 2:10? Where one's zoomed in but the same size as the actual sized one?

What to do is, go into the 'window' menu at the top, arrange, 'new window for .psd'.... this basically opens up a second window of the painting you are working on which is awesome because if you paint on the zoomed in one, it shows up in the zoomed out version.

After selecting 'new window .psd' .... go to window > arrange > tile 2 horizontally. This will place them side by side. When I do this, make sure the 'application frame' (found in window) is turned on because its easier :)

What brush do you use for hair?

Josh here. Its a mixture of getting the 'mass' with a chalk brush and then just using a dotted brush for the hair. If you google it you will find tonnes of them.
