Not was I omly impressed with the wonderful singing and harmony of the boys choir, but the video accompaniment make this complete. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with all of us.

My father was born in Maria Alm, Austria and I was born in America. This American song - with Austrian "roots" - connects me to both. One of the loveliest songs ever written. I have a CD of the Sound of Music sung in German, (Meine Lieder, Meine Traume) and Edelweiss especially sounds like it has always been SUNG in German.

@rhapsodyblue56 Thank you for your nice comments. Yes, you have to visit Salzburg and other parts of Austria to enjoy more. The video was filming by MelvinEU when he was in Salzburg. The music of course was sung by the Wiener Sangerknaben. The choir has also performed in Zel-Am-See.
