@dasgilde Not anymore they aren't. MotorTrend track tested the new Mustangs. The V6 was faster than the Genesis Coupe and 370Z, the V8 was equally as fast as the BMW M3 around a handling circuit, and the Boss 302 was faster than the Audi R8 around Laguna Seca. The Viper holds the fastest US-legal Nurburgring time, while the ZR-1 holds 3rd place. European cars costing 2 or 3 times as much simply can't compete.

Why are American cars so big??? It's unnecessary and I hope one day they realize that bigger isn't always better...the bigger the car, the more raw material and horsepower you need...do as the British do and make small sports cars. The cars would cost half as much! And American cars are generally practical and sometimes reliable (minus Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge)...I think European cars are built with everything in mind(:
