Bettina Cassar - Time Is Running

To stop and think that at this moment whilst we entertain ourselves and fill our lives with more and more commodities, there are children that are being robbed of their freedom, their innocence and basic necessities. It's not fair. Something's not right; the imbalance is far too great. How can we chase the dream whilst forgetting the oppressed, and the poor? It's easy to stop and say things are not right, but if we stop there...if we continue to ignore the poor and the needy, then we are actually robbing them. We can't stop there; we must do more than say things are not right no matter how much it costs us. When the toe is stepped on the mouth screams, so united as one world let's be the mouth that speaks up when the poor and forgotten are being stepped on.
