  • Being a public employee in Texas, not having collective bargaining doesn't mean I'm less free.

  • true. PACO did support Reagan in the 80s. at their own peril i might add. Matthews is probably a bit bitter because he used to work for carter and they didnt get the support of the unions. we all know how they ended up - one term administration! The problem was that Carter didnt do a thing for the workers in the 70s, he is the one that started the whole liberalization of the economy. and Reagan screwed the unions as well by not improving the work condition of those workers.

Agreed, I feel for my American brothers and sisters when it comes to the american political system with regards to only having two main parties to represent the public. Here in Canada we have five major political parties. I'm not saying it's perfect here, but we have a broader choice when we vote. America needs a labour based party. I'm happy to be apart of the IAFF. Again I feel for you Americans, keep your heads up, and fight the good fight!

  • @zwwalker Fuck the politicians

  • Scott Wanker is a pudgy, balding little shithead and a liar. Government workers in WI ALL get to take “unpaid vacations”. They are called furlough days and they amount to about a months worth of wages in Milwaukee County alone. The pensions and health care are not what he says they are at all. The union workers already contribute to their pension & health care and they have stated that they are willing to contribute more – they just want to keep their bargaining rights.

  • FUCK Scott Walker, he doesn't even deserve the name Walker. Fuck him.
