The view from asteroid 2008 TC3 in the minutes before it enters Earth's atmosphere. The point of entry is on the night side of Earth, so the brightness of Earth has been enhanced for the visualization. We don't know what the shape of 2008 TC3, so I've substituted a model of the asteroid Itokawa. The time rate is 20x normal.
How'd you get TC3? I don't even have apophis and I have the 1.5.1 version!

What software did you use to make this video? I'm familiar with Starry Night and Guide, and it doesn't look like either of those. The reason I ask is that I tried using the MPC's best orbit for 2008 TC3 to visualize the atmospheric entry, but it doesn't work because Earth's gravity changes the path significantly over the last 3-4 days.

It didn't "hit". It burned up in the atmosphere.
Reports said it should have been visible from Southern Europe as well, so Im also surprised that there are no videos yet.
