i saw american buffalo on broadway a month ago- John leguizamo played teach and cedric the entertainer play bob. it was incredibly good.  For one, teach wasn't portrayed as a teacher, rather he wore some open flannel shirt and ripped jeans. Not at all a literal interpretation of the text IN ANY PART or line...it was amazingly good
