  • komasow, why the hell would you have a free air race sled on a mountain? You obviosly do not appreciate nor know anything about vintage snowmobiles.

  • Actually D10L the owner was warming it up to run it around, thats why I snagged the video to get it running up close. So.....better ask before you accuse!

  • Hi there, it is based on a 1971 King Kat chassis, the engine itself is a custom 4 cylinder kawasaki. The engine is actually two arctic cat z engines mated together and designed to run as one. Essentially the crank cases were welded together and the cranks from both engines were mated and phased correctly. This engine is approx 80 cc's more than the original 800 king kat engine.

  • You know you got compression when the ski on the recoil side is coming off the ground haha. Baddest sled ever built hands down!!

  • Jeese! There's a snowmobile attached to that engine???

  • Nice and very rare. A friend of mine has 23 antique race cats in his collection and he has 3 King cats in show condition. They are his prize cats.

  • whats one of these worth? they must be rare iv only seen like 3 on youtube lol

  • swag

  • @Turbojeep23

Maybe he used the original King Kat ignition, designed for 4 cyls, 90* firing order???. Who knows..

  • wow it lifts up when you pull it over lol

  • thats quIT THE SLED

  • beast. the secondary clutch looks to be from a ZR, with an aftermarket helix. what is the primary clutch setup? any race times or speeds? also, how is the ignition set up? since it was originally designed to only house an ignition setup for 2 cylinders.

great job on mating the 2 engines! its not an easy task.

  • are you gonna ride it?
