Paul Kaye - the actor and comedian behind Dennis Pennis - tells us why he gets such a kick from Highbury stadium. As a listed building, thanks to the 1930s art deco East Stand, he reckons it's the classiest football ground in the country. And as a fanatical Arsenal supporter, he's not going to let anyone disagree with him. • Stamfod Bridge is a shopping centre, Old Trafford is an industrial estate and Shite Fart Lame is a urinal.

    Sounds right to me!

  • I'm not criticising Arsenal's stadium. I like Art Deco architecture. For a football stadium it's excellent - much better than souless modern ones.

  • @ThePardi10: Although I think they must have started playing cricket at the industrial estate, it appears they've been beaten by 1 6!

  • @ThePardi10: Oh please, that's getting old. Come up with something new.

  • @kanenkitten yeah and in the industrial estate you'v got 8 2 much hahahaha

  • is that...Strutter?! :)

  • Surely Tottenham Court Road would still count. Not that I give a toss about football.

  • Well he does OK for quite a while until he started jumping around like a lunatic.

  • paul kaye is a talentless gimp.

  • they didnt knock it down as such..it was turned into apartments in the same shape as the stadium with a park where the pitch was and it features a lot of arsenal stuff..its called highbury square and robert pires (gunners legend) bought two apts.

  • Very interesting. shame about the prat presenting it.

What has happened now? surely they didn't knock it down when they built the new stadium?

Far too many beautiful buildings get flattened.

Full marks to Tesco for what they did to the Hoover Building.
