  • @Vickylou You misunderstud the point. Altrought your comment is old (2009) is it imperative for 1 to understand that school can in fact have Gay themed activities. So Gay children will feel welcome. What this is about, is about those who wish not to participate... no 1 should be forced. I for 1 will pull my child out. But thats it. The school can continue w/ their Gay activities as normal. If I can't pull him out, then Ill be a victim of reverse discrimination.

  • Since posting last I checked out the contents the King & King book. It is not portrayed at all the parents describe it; AT ALL. They got almost everything wrong actually. To get the book verbatim paste /watch?v=HW__kkEj_iU after this dot com. The princesses do silly things and the prince is not disrespectful to them. It just emphasized that his heart stirred when he met another prince. That is all, thanks!

  • So if the book was really rotten, then it was rotten and the teacher made a mistake. That doesn't mean many stories with gay marriage don't have uplifting themes that can be introduced to children, at least on occasion. These parents are pulling out all the stops, taking anything negative and blaming gay marriage. Even if everything they claimed happened did, I highly doubt that this represents any kind of problem most parents are faced with. They DO have a right to know what's going on.

  • "in second grade they are still learning how to sit still"

    Is your kid retarded?

  • Most ridiculous speech ever... by the way, that man with the fat lady looks gay a lot!

  • I think parents should think about one thing before they condemn broad and neutral education - if your child was gay, would you really want them growing up through their education with absolutely no visibility or representation? Going through school in the sense that it is, for some reason, wrong to bring up homosexuality and their own feelings and identity because everything about the curriculum suggests to them that only other 'normal' people's lifestyles are acceptable?

  • I don't understand how people say that being taught about same sex marriage is indoctrinating. Surely if anything is indoctrination it is deliberately screening then from 1 type of love?

Ok this is a poor book. I'm gay and I wouldn't endorse a book about a prince who marries another prince because the princesses were black/fat. But I get the feeling that if the prince chose a beautiful princess instead, these parents wouldn't go to such lengths over the book's poor values on superficial beauty.

  • stupid, I live in MA, and I am fine, take that

  • sex with people who have AIDS is the spreading of AIDS. AIDS crossed over to humans from monkeys in Africa and the first case in america was caused by a straight hooker who went and contracted the disease without her knowledge in Africa and then spread the disease to approx. 300 people in the United States. At least that's the scientific tracking that scientists have done has shown. Also I would like to make a remark about your english; if you say something, spell correctly to avoid looking 10

  • And this is different from reality how
