  • @Stjones28 I don't have calipers to measure, but it' roughly as thin as most liner-locks. Maybe .06-.07 inches. Definitely nowhere near .125 (1/8) inches thick. It's about what you'd expect from most makers.

  • I love the looks of the Striders!!!

How thick (thin) is the frame lock cut out on the Strider?

  • @SharpSpears I also hear Strider's CS is getting better. I still want to get one the smaller fix blades like the ED. But 100 is pretty steep for just a single piece of S30V under 7" overall with a kydex sheath. I still like their designs and I'll have to see how the comfortable they are in the bush.

  • @mickthepope Well, the funny thing is that I would still rather have Strider in the woods than the Manix as a back-up. I do have a couple of problems with the M2, mainly the lock. It locks well but the ball itself has poor contact with the tang, now fails the spine-whack. It is a design issue and seems to have to do with the position of the spring in the chamber. My unused M2 is just fine and spine-whacks don't do a thing to it.

  • @Snicke22 Thanks!!

  • my PT-CC had some "issues" also. kinda funny having the Manix2 there, probably less than half the price of the SMF and I'll wager there were no "issues" with it. Strider really needs to get there act together. I doubt i'll buy another.
