This past summer, after finishing our finals, we were bored in our apartment and needed something to do. Turning to craigslist is one way to find fun... and I dont mean by posting your friend's picture in the casual encounters section with the headline "looking for some fun"...I mean by finding random shit to buy. After stumbling across a farm that sells ducks, chickens and other animals for meat, I decided we needed another roommate. It was a win win and we thought it all out and were very responsible, we saved a duck's life! We gave him proper nutrition, his own room with a jacuzzi bathtub, and we would bring him across the street to the park! and he was a natural chick magnet! We made this film in the mean time will finding him a proper home. Pendleton has since retired from ducky acting and is all grown up living on a farm near by with a loving family and a lot more animals.

Letters from Pendleton's new family:

JUNE: "Thought you might like to see some pictures. The kids were very surprised today when my husband brought him home! :) You are welcome to visit him if you want to sometime. He will be VERY loved. :) More pics to follow."

OCTOBER: "Thank you for sharing that with us!!! :) It is great!!! The kids and I almost cried at the end. Interestingly enough.... we just found out this weekend that Pendleton is actually Pendletina. :) :) She has layed an egg every day for the last 4 days. :) We actually have around 65 chickens and sell cage free eggs but this was a surprise. She is very loved by all of us and we will send you some new pictures of her, all grown up. We like her sooo much that we are talking about getting some more in the spring. Rest assured she is doing very well. My 3 yr old, Jacob, shouted immediately, "look it's Pendleton" while watching your video. They all love her. :)"
