This trailer is the first in-game look at Participatory Chinatown, a game that takes place in Boston's Chinatown.
Players don virtual avatars and enter Chinatown as a character based upon a real-life resident. In completing various "quests" as their character, users come to better understand the complexities of the neighborhood, and the diverse population of Chinatown. Players use this knowledge to inform planners and city officials of the community's needs in planning for Chinatown's future.
Participatory Chinatown is funded by the MacArthur Foundation, and is a collaborative project between the Asian Community Development Corporation, the Boston Metropolitan Area Planning Council, and Emerson College.
