The Magic of Flight - IL-2

http://www.Fight2FlyPhoto.com A change from my recent trend in videos, this one now takes more of a look at the graceful aspect of flying. No crashes, no fireballs, and no shooting. Just the joy of flying an airplane. The formation sequences were done simply flying on the wing of designated AI aircraft. Aircraft flown include the F4-U Corsair, F4F-6, Hellcat, Bearcat, P-40 Warhawk, B-17G Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, P-51B and P-51D Mustang, and an Avenger someplace in there.

My first IL-2 Sturmovik game was Birds of Prey on the 360. A friend recently gifted me 1946 on Steam, and I love the series so far (this is coming from someone who's not even that into WWII aircraft!). This video did a fantastic job portraying my favorite thing about flying. I'm not sure why, but free flight is much more fun in realistic games like IL-2 and FSX than in arcade games like Ace Combat and HAWX. Probably because IL-2 and FSX satisfy my Heavy Aircraft needs :)
