Interesting facts about cell networks: http://bit.ly/iEnPKV

We took a drive with a Verizon Wireless engineer to see how they test the quality of the network. They drive around in an SUV equipped with voice and data devices from all of the major carriers. Their purpose is to find weaknesses in the network, which is all recorded by an on-board computer.

  • Thumps up if you think that writing FIRST for the first comment is extremely annoying ;)

  • @bigsteamfan lol, u didn't get the irony, i was the first and so on i made the comment written FIRST over it twice, just to have fun, and that too taking alongside the people who hate FIRST comment :)

And if you follow failblog regularly then you can see that in their latest video they themselves asked viewers to keep the like/dislike bar even, so even failblog likes that.

  • Is Verizon hiring Drive test engineers in North California area? Can you ask randy about any job openings regarding on his field? I'm an experienced drive tester. GSM and UMTS networks.

  • BRANDON MINIMAN FTW!

  • Interesting video Brandon, I'm surprised you didn't do ask about AT&Ts HSPA+ coverage, Very contained of you.

  • Very cool

  • @Horcrux3inCreation so is asking for thumbs up.

  • @Horcrux3inCreation It's just as annoying ASKING for thumbs up. Sweet vid by the way, hope u guys do more stuff like this in the future. I think they should do this on Sprint's wimax network so they can see that you can't ever hold a wimax signal unless you stand on top of a rood under the wimax tower and stand still.
