Installed a cam snout extension on my roller cammed motor so I could run a pump eccentric. After a short period of run time the engine developed an odd engine noise which seemed to be coming from the fuel pump area. This is what I found when I took the timing cover off. There is also evidence that the pump arm was rubbing on the timing chain due to roller cam walking back and forth in the block due to the lack of taper on the lobes. My advice is to not run one of these adapters, use an electric fuel pump. The bolt was torqued and loctite red was used.
