Air New Zealand's innovative Premium Economy seating

This seat doesn't recline enough for Premium Economy, but looks nice. I think the most important thing for a long haul flight is to have a seat that reclines enough to allow the seat to fully support your head...so that you can sleep. But these new seats are very creative. Nice to see an airline thinking outside the box..

There's so much room on the ground...i'd just sit/sleep on the floor

the guy looks VERY uncomfortable

This comes across as an "amateur" presentation. Is this usual for the Asia/Pacific area?

Tried these new seats long haul. They are a total failure. Extremely uncomfortable. I could not sleep because they don't recline much and they have no footrest. The bean bag was useless. I can't believe they tested these with real passengers. AirNZ have also reduced the PE service.

Just RIDICULOUS . All what you need on long flights is to LAY DOWN and extend your legs . Not all this appearance of comfort .

They look so nice!!!!! Love the white!!! Never seen anything like that before

That shit looks unconfortable as shit..i would hate to he in the back

Those Kiwis, good for a laugh, but will it catch on? if it does then is will be a stroke of genius. If not then it was good for a laugh.

why it looks a bit cramped with the new type seat.......???

@marick626 If I was a little pipsqueak I could see your point. I'm 6'3 with short for my height legs and a giant torso (and not fat). I'm going to recline because otherwise I don't fit. And I know you are not gonna say anything to me because nobody ever does.

I don't mean to sound rude but I think this is stupid I think they only designed this for the look and not safety in mind God forbid if there was a crash I hope those seats would stay in place.

@Eri777 They're 16G seats. Better than most flying today. And they might even offer a level of protection from loose objects with the walls behind your seat.
