@TheZanipolo ahahahaahaha
-
Has the news changed since that time? I didn't noticed ;/

@RobinCarmody Brown had always sounded like an angry Scottish Scots bull, which was annoying, to say the very least.
-
Tim Roth at the start, lol!
Moira, you're a fine woman!
-
Inflation more than it is now.

@hu150 Yeah and the fact that the cost of buying a house went through the roof (pardon the pun) since 1997- Nowadays if the interest rates went up even by a half of a percent you'd be putting on more than £30 to a monthly repayment!
-
worst prime minister this country as ever had

I love Brown complaining about a £30 a month rise in average mortgages when the first thing he did as chancellor was abolish MIRAS and adding £70 a month to every mortgage over £30K , which was most of them
and in other news, Moira Stewart has been attached to a 10000 volt electricity supply

Andy Cartledge is the announcer here.
This was an unusually late main news bulletin - and one of the last ever to use these titles. Brown-bashing is the pastime of fools (understatement), by the way.
