I was in Gloucestershire this summer. Pretty cool place.

Best Christmas song EVER on the Best Instrument EVER! I need to sell my shoe collection and get a hurdy gurdy...

@rabbitspliff I wouldn't have gone anywhere near the gurdy without a competent teacher. A third of the problem is in learning how to set it up properly. Another third is in learning how to manage your crank hand - not easy at all. The remaining third is learning how to play it. Luckily there are some good players within a few hours' journey of where I live, and if desperate I could easily visit France.

@rejoicify you don't always need to be taught to play an instrument in person. I self-teach myself the didgeridoo and banjo for example, from cd's, dvd's, method books and stuff on the internet. As for the price well, I get where you're coming from there. I can't afford a hurdy gurdy yet either.

Its a shame the sound isn't a little better. I love the hurdy gurdy... I've always wanted to learn how to play it but they're a little out of my price range and I don't think there's anywhere to learn around here.

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen nor heard this instrument before. I love this carol, though! It sounds good on it. Neat!
