Audio of live performances by Lauryn Hill of Bob Marley tracks; War and No More Trouble

Until the philosophy that holds one race superior
And another
Inferior
Is finally
And permanently
Discredited
And abandoned
Now everywhere is war

Until there are no longer
First class or second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes
It's a war
Now everywhere is war

War in the east
War out west
War up north
War down south

Some winning, some losing (x4)

Cos we don't need no more trouble

We don't need no more trouble
no more trouble
We don't need no more trouble

What we need is love (love)
To guide and protect us on (on)
If you up and down from above (above)
Help the weak when you are strong.

We don't need no trouble
We don't need no trouble
What we need is love, Sweet love
We don't need
no more trouble
We don't need
no more trouble

  • It takes courage and strength to step out of the box and speak the truth knowing it will cost you everything you've ever known. Even if all you've ever known is a lie. I think she is remarkable and still humble which makes her all the more a reflection of her beliefs. I dont think she is bipolar, I think she is brilliant and bold and beautiful. Inside and out. Thank you Lauryn for all your efforts, talent and work.

  • What is bipolar?

And who came up with the concept of "bipolarism"?? There is nothing wrong with Ms. Hill. Her only problem is that she is a God in the times of man.

  • Who DARE to dislike this !!

  • Love it! Some of The lyrics for this song were taken from a speech written by Haile Selassie food stuff

  • war one of my alyime bob fav i like the uprising album the best though nice cover of course l boogie killed it

  • @realrell36 Right. I hear where you are coming from...and absolutely everyone is entitled to an opinion, I would never suggest otherwise :-)

  • @NZsouljagirl agreed, but she sounds horrible vocally on this track... I FEEL Bob when he sings this. I feel nothing on this one. I know it's the message that counts, but not when you can't bear to listen to the sound. I FEEL Lauryn's original songs. Some Marley songs she sings, I feel; but not this one. My opinion, and I have the right to one.

    Shalom

  • @realrell36 That's a given - it's his song! There is no other Bob in the world, nor should be be ignorant to think otherwise....In this case it's not about who does it better, but the message that is being conveyed....and I know Lauryn believes deeply and prophetically in the message that her father in law wrote about all those years ago...SELAH!

  • p.s.....EVERYDAMN BODY IS BIPOLAR..WE ALL HAVE MOOD SWINGS,HIGHS AND LOWS,UPS AND DOWNS

  • bob did war much better...love it though

  • Any Artist that speak bad against lauryn Hill caaaaaaaannnn't be trusted with.

    take a note from this!!!

  • wyclef jean called her bipolar, and i don't think he is a licenced to make that claim.

he also tried to run for president of haiti, and you know how Bob Marley felt about politicians.
