"Sannie Fox belts out the blues like she was born in a Louisiana swamp" -- Caro Rayner-The New Age

"With a debut album almost four years in the making that sports artwork created by the legend behind Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Muse, Cape Town band Machineri are finally ready to take on the world." - Evan Milton-What's On

Just Music are extremely proud to announce the signing of Cape Town based Blues Rock band Machineri.

Their seductive, blues-infused rock.is influenced by everything from John Lee Hooker and Led Zeppelin to Malian blues and Portuguese folk. Fox's husky, smoky vocals are part Marianne Faithfull, part Patti Smith, but with shades of The Cocteau Twin's Liz Fraser and a bit of Kate Bush. Each song distils a dozen influences - from the obvious nods to Patti Smith and Janis Joplin to famed Portuguese singer Amalia Rodrigues and the late, great Busi Mhlongo. The album artwork was designed by the legendary Storm Thorgerson (Pink Floyd, Muse, Led Zeppelin).

  • Not as rhythmic but gotta love the experimenting too. Top class alternate act. Hoping 'Machine I Am' and 'The Searchers' are on the album too.
