@enlightenednihilist Einstein once said that the only way to stop ourselves from killing off humanity is if we all one day resort to becoming vegitarians. Forget liberal finish that word off and be a libertarian instead. yours truly, steak eater

I dont support peta but i sure do support the protests they have ;) i wish they had one near my house

They always go for stories that are ALL READY sensational. It's never anything that is largely ignored by high relevant to their message. There's no consistency. They latch on to stories that are big to begin with. That is how they continue their press coverage, for the sake of press coverage. It's the ends and the means. It can't be justified if the power is never to put to use.

Back to PETA, because i didn't originally think i'd make more than one post. sorry Mike for spammin ya with my "liberal" jargon. (politically i don't consider myself a liberal). It's important for me to note that PETA isn't awful for being such "press sluts" (newkirk word choice). On hand, it makes sense. What's awful is that besides their elementary defense of vegetarianism, anytime there's animal/ethical related news, they always go for (cont)

Another great thing you pointed out is that we do indeed have a water cycle! In most parts of the world with the right resources, we can make full, sole use of the water that falls right from the sky, clean and pure; no wells, pumps, or filtration. Why should we pay for it? Or at least pay so much for it, in both our bills and our taxes. In fact there are many innovative systems including the Michael Reynolds method that accomplish just this and more than meet their consumer demands.

Most concerns about water consumption are not actually regarding the disappearance of water. Reducing your own water consumption is simply another way to drive down your energy demands. Water is a renewable resource but gas, oil, and coal that may be used to process it are not. Real issues involving water come from contamination and cost, mostly in third world countries. I recommend if you ever feel up to it a popular documentary, FLOW: For The Love of Water. (cont)

@mikedd56 hi Mike. Peta are idiots, please don't use them to make your judgments about liberal takes on social issues or environmentalism. PETA is not an environmentalist group by any means. They are a sensationalist group that cares more about press than actually furthering any of their causes. As an environmentalist, i'm going to tell you you're making a valid point. Most concerns about water consumption are not (cont)

Its funny too how liberals in general are so worried about water consumption, only they would be frantic over something that literally falls from the sky & naturally recycles itself. But to listen to them you'd think its a valuable resource that is dwindling away

It takes 2,500 gallons of water to make a pound of meat.
WHAT?!?!
How does that make any sense
If all humanity did was eat vegetables and fruit, we wouldn't survive, our bodies are made to require both plants AND meat.
Yes there is protein in plants but it isn't nearly as much as in meat and we require A LOT of protein!
