No other song in all of human history will ever again be able to rhyme "Gentile" and "percentile" in a remotely appropriate context.
-
Haaa, they play "Havi Nagila" (sp) xD

@TheSoulMan8 To be honest seeing Susan Boyle being shot by someone in the audience made me laugh extremely loudly... its a grea song either way but they changed it to be satirical and cos people in the UK really don't know much about Broadway (or ther theater)

"It's just not something you say to a heavily armed christian." XD I LOVE PATSY

I was listening to this soundtrack with my mom, and when this song came on she checked the cd case to see some of the names listed just to see if there were any likely Jewish people involved. There were... at which point I informed her that she was missing the joke.

Am I the only one who thought David Hyde Pierce was robbed for not even being nominated for a Tony for his work in this show?

@TheSoulMan8 I was very upset :( It's such a good song!
I actually love this song. I hate the fact that they changed it in the West End to 'you won't succeed in showbiz', and they changed all the lyrics :( Supposedly they thought it was offensive to us but in reality it's more offensive to us (the jewish population) to remove the song. THIS IS THE BEST SONG IN THE WHOLE THING :D

@chanaosen I'm pretty sure the reason they changed it to showbiz, is because England don't have broadway. And they changed the lyrics so it would rhyme they kept in all the jewish jokes

@TheSoulMan8 No, they didn't. They didn't keep all the jewish jokes in, and I saw it. And we do have the West End - the first time I saw it they were going on about 'this West End of London', and kept all of the jewish jokes, and the second time they removed all of the jewish jokes and changed it to a song about Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Susan Boyle.

@chanaosen well when I saw it at the west end they did keep the jewish jokes, I didn't know they'd changed it since
