it really is massive, and usually very friendly and happy elephants. its just this day they didn't seem to be getting a long very well, and it happened to be the day i was recording...strange

These elephants are extremely uncomfortable, with deep infections in the bottoms of their feet, very cold, and truly unhappy living in a playground, when they should be in a savanna that is hundreds of kilometres.

The world is talking about this horrible captivity. Why don't you open your eyes just a little. Who gives a damn if they PEEEE - grow up.

@teeeeeeej Well there is another thing that could make them kinda pissed, they are elephants and elephants dont live in cold climates, the indian elephant lives in a warm climate, the african elephant lives even warmer.

That location just doesnt suit them.

And elephants urinate at times of extreme social excitement . .and at the zoo they get to soak their feet in urine/mud slush,  before going back in to stand on cold concrete, also standing in their own excrement for 14 hours at a time - because there's nobody there when the zoo is closed.

@3dolphindoll Thank you for posting that. Of course, anyone who appreciates dolphins must also know how sentient and emotional elephants are - in fact, both dolphin and elephant brains are more complex and convoluted than that of humans. They just didn't evolve to have defenses against gun powder. Now, if we can just get the Toronto zoo keepers to co-operate, we can go on to try to help Lucy in Edmonton, the loneliest & coldest elephant in Canada!

@Melodyandblaze The FACTS are, that after this video was filmed, Tequila was found dead lying on an electric fence (2008-09-02), Tessa died next, of injuries from another elephant (2009-06-13), and Tara died of severe arthritis (2009-11-30) at the age of 38 - when she could have expected 60+ years in the wild. I am very tired myself at people who have to scream & swear to try to prove their incorrect points.

@iceblazes the elephants are going to a sanctuary and thank you to Bob Barker for paying for their move. I am appalled as a Canadian that zoos think they are doing a service to humans by keeping them in encjlosures too small and in temperatures that are not their normal environment..
