For several years, binge drinking amongst underage citizens in Ghana has remained a problem in our society. There has been a drastic increase of underage drinking over the years. The main issue with this dilemma is that in Ghana , a buyers age isn't verified at the counter when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

Drinking heavily results in nausea and confusion. Drinking whilst driving motor vehicles has led to many deaths. alcohol has contributed to depression and stress which are main factors of suicide.
In the recent years , alcohol-related deaths and injuries have increased. . Underage drinking has a greater effect on underage people than most illegal drugs and may even kill them. Excessive alcohol ingestion during the period of adolescence exposes the brain to a lot of difficulties, hence affecting the growth completely. It interrupts some processes during development and may result in impairment of the brain. This affects academic achievement in school.
