12 hrs battery recording is very poor, no mains power adaptor included is typical of Olympus. My gadget records for 72 hrs on 2 triple A batteries. Be nice if it was put through its paces to compare recording quality.

@therock005 no, recording from line and mic at the same time isn't possible - and I doubt very much if you'll find anything which does that.
Yes you can monitor what's being recorded.
Olympus make a mic specifically for recording telephones - the TP7.

Hello nice vid. Iwould like to ask this. Is it possible to record from line-in and mic at the same time, while also using earphones to hear, what's coming through the line-in?
I'm wondering if i can use this device to record phone calls from my mobile, since iphone doesnt allow for such an application. Do you think what i'm asking is possible? Thank You.

@Nizzle2daBizzle it's not something I've tried, but I would expect it to be as good as it could be, considering you'd be recording speakers with mics...
