These views were exchanged when the Indian Minister called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa. India makes a vital contribution for Sri Lanka's development. An agreement was also inked with the Ministry of Power and Energy to build a new power plant in Sri Lanka. It will have a capacity of 500 megawatts. The Indian Minister discussed with the President the Information Technology Village, which is to be constructed in Sri Lanka. He apprised the President of the development work launched in India. Minister Navin Dissanayake, Indian High Commissioner Alok Prasad and President's Secretary Lalith Weeratunga were present.
