@LLJtbone Listen to it on tuba, much warmer. Not to say that this isn't good because its amazing, but the trombone kind of has a harsh tone

Wow great sound my man, love it alot. Nice and fluid sounding. I have not heard this on tuba but I love it on bass trombone <3

@BayAreaBiker2001 Not really :) Vaughan williams Wanted to show tht the TUBA wasn't an instrument tht is beastly and clumsy.. He wanted to show tht tuba can be as melodic as a flute rough as a tuba and agile as a clarinet:D jus saying wat i read :)

Where can I purchase the music to this?

very good rendition!! this version should be recorded on CD (with an orchestra)!
-
beautifully played, I'm working on this now it is such a beast on bass bone.
-
very nice and clear sound!

great pianist!!!!

If Vaughan Williams were living in the 17th-18th century, he would have written for the bass trombone instead of the tuba, which was invented in the early 19th century.

I concur with air support
this is a good piano arrangment, but a piano does an orchestra no justice to this song. Piano players just dont have big enough or enough fingers to really pull off this piece

Man that brought back memories. This was the 1978 NYSMA solo piece I performed (on tuba, not nearly this well) at Alfred State University. Sounds better on bass trombone, and can guarantee is much more difficult to perform. Well done.
