We think we have come so far until another hate crime happens and/or we see the comments of the homophobic and then we realize we have so much farther to go.

In Hitler's Time, gay Matthew would have been forced to wear a pink uniform and ultimately killed by Nazi fanatic soldiers.

Thanks for posting this video. What most people know & understand is that Matthew was was tortured & killed just for being gay. Have you ever heard of a case where a gay person sought out a homophobe to torture and kill? Joyce, you certainly have the right to remove homophobic hate comments, but I believe people need to see the hatred, see the bigotry, and see the dangers that gay people face. If "straight" people do not see a problem, they will not see a need to help with a solution.

iseegayguys: I almost always approve anti-gay comments, for the very reason you mention -- our non-LGBT friends need to see the hatred we have to put up with every day. I usually block the offending commenter because I see no point in rewarding such 'phobes with the attention they so desperately desire (or letting them take over the comments section completely, which most of them would if they could). Long reply short: You're right, and I agree. :)
