It seemed that these comeback kids from Northern Highlands had finally met their match after a quick and easy 1st game for their opponent West Morris Central. But lo and behold, the Lady Highlanders fought back in a tight 2nd game (25-22) and stormed to a tsunami win in the 3rd and deciding game to win the first State Group title for the program.
The turning point of that game came when sophomore Jen Forhecz took a dead-on kill to the face to keep the ball in play and eventual point for the Highlands squad. Congrats to Coach Schanstine and the Northern Highlands Volleyball Team!
