Sadly I agree. It might be a fun short term game, but it definitely doesn't appear to be a long term game. A lot of these newer games are shying away from creating a virtual world to play in, that's the whole appeal of playing a MMORPG.

If they wanted to create a fun arcade game, they should have just made a single player game with multiplayer co-op play, but leave it to SOE to create an arcade game they'll force a subscription on. Or worse, their coveted 'microtransactions'.
