Here are some of the basic techniques for successful drifting in Forza 4. There are a few more techniques you can use that I didn't go over in this tutorial, but these are the basics. Enjoy!

Advanced Drifting Tutorial:

Tip #1: Try to get used to manual, drifting with auto is possible, but you have little to no control of your powerband.

Tip #2: Try using cars that have decent power, and are front engine rwd. It is possible to drift awd, but you have to have a lot of power to do anything cool.

  • Good vid! Liked and subscribed. 1 question: should I try to keep the RPMs on the redline?

  • @Mrmasternik

No, you need to be able to use your power. However, if you desire, you can bounce off the rev limited if you have already initiated your drift, and have enough speed to keep your drift without adding more power.

  • 1) watch this video

    2) Get impressed by the drifting and want to do it yourself

    3) Try drifting for hours

    4) Only failing

    5) Get depressed and angry

    6) Ragequit.

Ok here is what you do.

    1) Try the first technique, the circle technique, over and over until you can do wide circles and control the car sliding in a circle.

    2) Haul ass to anywhere on the track, pull the ebrake expecting the spin out and let your instincts take over, stop thinking about what your supposed to do, do what you feel you need to do naturally.
