The relentless and unending succession of press conferences and White House pontifications has snookered a gullible and hence complicit media into broadcasting their high opera of deception. Does anyone really believe that the Washington "royalty" would risk sacrificing their own personal fortunes for the sake of principle if the "debt crisis" were real? All of the posturing and hyperbole are masking goals other than American fiscal responsibility and solvency. It is all a scam.

Everything to which we have all been subjected 24-7 from the media over the past two weeks is little more than political theater. The "budget crisis" and associated issues are an illusion. They do not really exist. The White House and both congressional houses are simply players in a long, drawn-out governmental opera designed to distract the public from their true motives: raising the debt limit (to pacify Liberal Democrats) and crushing the Tea Party (to pacify mainstream Republicans).

im sick of hearing him talk about raising taxes and then turning around and raising the debt ceiling. what the hell, deficit spending? I know someone in the military who works at an airbase and takes his colleagues out to lunch EVERY DAY on tax payers money

Obama is a little late. He should of been dealing with this 2 years ago. He and the left failed to pass a budget when they held the house senate and presidency. Obama formed his own panel to solve the debt problem only to ignore everything they said. As usual Obama wants to keep his hands clean and vote present just like he did as a senator. Put on you big boy pants and do your job!

In China'sl view if America don't raise the debt this would be a atom bomb upon china and all the rest of the world from America. China is declaring war upon America if the debt celing is not raised. The guy had his chance, showed his true colors and is absolutely no different than George W Bush. Yes they may have a different tone but actions speak much louder than words. Obama will have a BILLION dollars for this election folks. Do you really think that he is going to serve the needs of the average American or serve the needs of those who donate the big bucks. It's time this country had a leader who was actually elected by the people.
