@susanbzoza The colors in the saltworks would probably be saline bacteria. The same type of bacteria that gives the Soda Lakes of the Great Rift Valley their pink-red coloring.

Thanks. As to the saltworks, I have no idea what makes the various colours -- I'd guess different minerals or water level or ???? I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I do think that the beautiful yellow water is hydrogen sulphide from decaying plants, not a good thing at all.
