even with less special effect and technology, this is wonderfully made film. I would not even bother to compare it with other version. simply the best in anyway you look at it. Liu xiao ling tong, IMO is the best actor I have ever seen and portrays sun wokong more than perfectly. his acting alone elevates this film to another level and is a real classic gem. this is a real entertainment for all asians

@SunnySideUp360 Yeah, but you said the Monkey king looked too human, I was saying Shape shifting could be a reason why he looks so human. I guess I wasn't clear about that. Sorry.

@SunnySideUp360 Actually, The Monkey King could shape shift, but he wasn't very good at doing humans because his tail would still be there.
