  • Very helpful. Thank you. How do you use Studio One with the multitracking session that was already captured?

  • @AlfredNavarro You can select each file and import it into Studio One. If you plan on working in Studio One I would suggest just recording directly to Studio One instead of using Capture. That way you are ready to use Studio One without an extra step. Capture is great if you are doing a simple recording or for if you have a volunteer doing the recording who isn't experienced but you want to edit it later in Studio One or another program.

  • Hey there,

So can I ask then.... when capture is making its recording, are all the individual channels recorded pre-eq/dynamics?

The reason I ask is because this could be a yay or nay for me. I'd prefer them to be pre, so I can record sessions in church and use them for practice and training material for myself and for others.

If i have read correctly there's a button that says "DIG" as in digital that will switch between these options without disrupting the front of house.

    Thanks

    Jonny

  • @jonnyweston Yes, you can choose whether Capture records pre or post eq/dynamics. You get to pick with each individual channel which you want.

Give me a call this week or next so we can talk through any other questions you have. I'd be happy to help you out. Plus I can get you discounts on gear.

If you have any thoughts/suggestions I'de appreciate it. Thanks

Thanks for that. Actually I am in the UK so geographically as decent as your offer is - unfortunately it would not have worked out. :-(

However.... I work in the trade and was able to get an exdemo unit for an extremely competitive price. :-)

I ordered it a few days ago, and it should be here on Monday.

With a bit of luck I'll get to start setting it up for church this week!

Your video's helped me make my decision by clearly illustrating the inner workings of the desk.
