Mimas, innermost of Saturn's midsize icy satellites. Here the color is exaggerated to show the broad blue feature along the equator of the leading hemisphere. This feature is described and explained in a forthcoming article. The large crater is Herschel 125 km across. Mimas is only 400 km across and mostly made of water ice.

    the mapping software wont let me portray the 10% polar flattening for some reason. Im looking into it. Perhaps if i just alter the aspect ratio of the video!

    Haha, interesting idea!

    However, the tidal distortion placed on Mimas by Saturn causes the axis of Mimas aimed at Saturn to be the mostly elongated one (as opposed to just being an oblate spheroid). Mimas thus has a triaxial shape of 418.8 by 394.4 by 381.4 km.
