  • umm when you do the tuck swoop your arms behind you then grab your knees from the back, this will make you spin faster and easier. but good job.

  • thx for the advice butttt thats actually counter active and more for gymnastics than for diving

i used to do that like after this vid was made 2 yrs ago i started, but then my coach told me not to so i stopped and the dive got a lot better idk :p

but i dont compete that dive nemore

  • @tobiasfunke12 no hes right, back 1 1/2 tucks go like this; swing arms up to vertical or over vertical, bring knees into chest after full extention (as though your torso is a net catching your legs, creating rotation), catch knees somewhere between 90 and 180 degrees, complete flip (upper body perpendicular to water), spot the board and kick at or above the board, based on the speed of your flip. Eyes are critical on backs.

  • @pythontricker when you've been coaching for over 20 years you can tell my coach that

  • I want to try this dive, but to scared. My mates from diving say i have enough hight to get a double, but i just don't the confidence to do it. Can you give me some tips thanx.

  • another thing, although some people say this sint really all that necessary, i find it helps alot if you circle around to your knees instead of going down to grab them...

when your coach calls you out make sure your kick, look reach...look reach kick doesnt work so well lol

last thing...timing is everything, you will get used to the timing and everything after someone calls you out a few times

    hope i helped...and good luck

  • @tobiasfunke you go to kent?

  • leaned into that one abit

  • You are soo good . I've watched your other videos alot to get an idea of how to do some of the dives since I'm gonna be starting soon :)

  • @tobiasfunke12 well that dive is going 4's or 5's as is so trying something new will work. you cant just pull the head right into the dive after tucking. there has to be an intermediate point after the flip where arms are down and eyes are on the back of the board again. judges look for that.

  • lol all you guys are divers by the way you write, i tried this dive with no diving experience and totally failed on my back. its a lot hard than hes making it look. Especially with no diving experience like myself

  • haaa i HATE these!! I always fucked up the come out then I learned 203b and everything turned out alright :P

  • i just learned 203 like yesterday and its not too bad but then again i have only been diving for a month but dude your awesome keep it up =]
