@VICTIMofLUST He's the artist he can change it and play it the way he want =P thats one of the reasons i admire Tom Waits so much, When i play gig i dont play exactly what i wrote its open and free. =D You gotta go with how it feels not how its written. =)

@VICTIMofLUST This kind of music is not meant to sound the same every time. Improvisation is what makes it perfect. I actually like this more than the album version.

I saw Waits and Teddy Edwards I think in 1979 in Rotterdam (Exit). Best concert ever. Teddy Edwards has a nice agressive sound. He used to play with Helen Humes (hey babariba...) in the fifty's. Great sound too..

Um... no? Montreal is in Canada. They have a Jazz Festival. He played at it. :-)
