all the same, all styles are one family;-)) for me!

@Maaguaa Brother,The theory is there for you to apply, not limited to the form,it is how you apply in the real world, does not matter what centrie you are in, There is no form or theory when you no longer apply the style,it is just a part of you however you fight,The thing is if you have absorbed the system, have you suffered and got the "gong fu"...most don't and get beat up,few do and came on top.

@DaDaoChen agreed. I am wondering how would these ancient traditions fit into the 21st century

@DaDaoChen my impression of hung gar is that it is very hard, tense, and tight. I practice tradition wing chun of GM wiliam cheung, which is a very soft style. In also hung gar, choy le fut, pi gua fist discussed in this video, lama fist, tibetan white crane, etc have wide arch swings of arms/fists (sao kuen), which is absent in Wing Chun. I used those moves, however. Check out my tournament video :)

@Maaguaa I respect all Chinese martial artists and style,I can see their skill in transtions and movements, however,I don't compare style to style, only admire,as it is all that's left from our ancestors, and I charish every single one of them. now the da shin pi gua masterwas also extreamly skilled,if you can see his solidness in the stance, the hardness in the soft ,and agileness in the slow,it's a rare video and not one person can prform the lost monkey set like him,now that was very scary to me.

@Maaguaa I think you got them reverse a lil,but it's okay,I'm a practitioner and also taught for the last 20 yrs,Hung gar is developement of tendon, bone, and skin/muscle( jin, goo,pi).develope internal strength(Nei-Gin) hardness in softness, softness in hardness,is the basis of the tiger crane double pattern, and the ten pattern, and ironwire set,is to develope chi and strengthen internal organs to prevent internal injusries from powerful blows.it is traditional souther shaolin, brother of wingchun
I just recognized this guy on the last issue of Kung Fu Magazine. Truly magnificent.
