An interview with Tom Matlack, cofounder of The Good Men Project.

http://www.goodmenproject.org/

The Good Men Project began as a book -- a collection of 31 first person stories about the defining moments in mens' lives. It has since grown to become an independent film, a charity, and a national discussion, all based on the idea that no matter who you are -- an NFL Hall of Famer, a big time venture capitalist, a teacher, a doctor, or a murderer condemned to life behind bars—there is no more important question than what it means to be a good father, a good husband, a good son, and a good man.

The book is on sale now at www.GoodMenProject.org, on Amazon.com: http://bit.ly/BuyGoodMenBook, and at select independent bookstores nationwide.

  • For me personally it means loving my wife passionately, taking time for my 3 kids, and doing something for somebody other than myself. But the point of the Project is to allow each man to decide for themselves. The point is to spark a discussion and get honest about what is most important to you as a man.

  • what a cunt.

  • i'm ashamed of this person.

  • Doesn't the name 'good man project' imply that most men are presently bad and need a project to 'fix' them?

  • My last name is Matlack and my dad looks like he could be this guy's cousin. Wow.

  • @520badazz In his opinion being good man means is to become mangina, mama's boys, become slave to your wives or ex-wives or girl friends and obey their orders become nice guy. This guy is a feminist puppet can't you see that?

  • How about the Good Woman Project?

  • Tom Matlack: Mangina who criticizes men while giving women a free pass. This good man crap puts all the burden on men when women are usually the problem.

  • This looks really amazing - discussion it key, honesty, and individuality.
