I feel as though introductions to music are VERY important to the audience and play a significant role to the music itself. The intro can either make or break a song (though not ALWAYS the case) by helping give the viewer a clear indication of what to expect.
This is first part of my collection of the world's top Melodic & Symphonic Metal intros. This lists contains 10 examples of great introductions consisting various artists with unique elements that are symphonic, melodic, orchestral, aggressive, soothing, etc...
By no means is this list based on FACT, it is simply fan-made, by myself, to fit my personal taste. Some people may agree with the list and like it, others may not agree and hate it. The purpose of this upload is simply to share my favorite Metal introductions with my viewers.
The list goes as followed:
1) Dagor Dagorath - The Hell In Heaven
2) Shade Empire - Ja Pimeys Laskeutui
3) Destroy Destroy Destroy - The Winged Panther
4) SunLess Rise - Nothing To Save
5) Eternal Tears of Sorrow - Tar Still Flows
6) Asgaard - The Grievance Enigma
7) Dark The Suns - Take This Pain
8) Insomnium - Mortal Share
9) Before The Dawn - Savior
10) Lyfthrasyr - Obsession In A Convenient Manner
- Some bands were excluded due to Copyright Infringement.
Note: I have no intention of infringing any Copyright. This upload was created for the sole purpose of promoting and sharing some of the best and unfamiliar metal bands around the world in order to spread the music and keep metal alive. IF any of these introductions strike as inappropriate please send me a personal message and I will gladly remove the intended video.

@fictionaluser
I think you're looking for Gothic Metal, not Symphonic Metal.

Um, I hate to sound like a know it all, but just because a band has a female lead singer, that does not automatically make it "gothic". I can not even count how many times I've seen people be reminded of this over and over again, and now it's even bothering me. There are plenty of gothic metal bands out there with male singers, and symphonic ones with female singers.

@Oni91888 I'm aware of that. Never in my statement did I say female vocals automatically make it Gothic. I can name quite a few male-fronted Gothic Metal, just as much as I can name quite a few female-fronted Symphonic Metal. However, he was looking for female-fronted music only through the likes of Symphonic Metal, and what I was simply implying that he should be looking through Gothic Metal. That's where most female-fronted bands reside, and that's where he would have much better luck with.

@xSwampKalmah
Okay, whatever. Most female fronted bands I know of reside in the symphonic metal area, but maybe that's just me. Anytime there are male vocals, it's usually only if it's mixed with death, black or thrash though. Or maybe I just don't listen to enough gothic metal?
Oh, and this is a good list btw, don't get me wrong here! Great vid
