@FastVideoTech Hi. I really need ur help.. my pendrive is broken.. how can i fix it? i dun have the soldering iron..please
-
But did the flash drive actually work? My soldered his back together but still couldn't retrieve the data afterwards.
-
oh i got to do this! I have a 16gb flash drive that snapped when i moved my computer and it fell forward and bent
-
Help!!!! My USB bent forward but the silver part is still attached. It won't show up on my computer though. Is there any way to get the files off the USB?
-
A couple of months ago, I plugged my usb key (and another one which is also fried) into my sisters computer, which fried it...
Now it only shows up as unknown device, on all computers. (XP, Win7, doesn't matter) I'm thinking the port was putting out too much voltage, so maybe the fuse blew? It makes a rattling noise :/ Any tips on how to fix it?
If I have another usb key, that is smaller, which I don't need; could I move the memory chip from one, to the other?
-
Should I attempt this if I can see my usb on the computer I just cant get the files or view them, but the stick has been bent... any ideas ??? thanks.

How did you take that silver piece off?
-
I bet mine at a 5 degree angle. The light comes on but it won't detect it. I guess I'll have to solder it....
is there anyway to do it without soldering iron? i dont have one.

@LeBearExtrordinare Sounds to me like it should be repairable. It helps to be good at soldering. Let me know if I can help!
