Absolutely excellent(as Usual). From 'Soft Talk' to' Tears, Lies, and Alibis' Shelby Lynne remains one of the best Voices in music. Her musicianship(writing, guitar work,live performance etc.) has improved incredibly. I'm very happy that she has gained the long deserved recognition ( on her own terms).Truly one of my favourite musicians. Hartley C.

Shelby is terrific! I am so excited that she will be here in concert next month - Westhampton, NY. I can't wait! I feel bad that she is so under appreciated. But as a result, I get to see her in a small venue instead of a large stadium. Listening to her is so moving. She is so powerfully honest &passionate. The lines by the poet William Ayot say it best:"Anyone can sing. What is harder, is to proclaim the soul.....to sing what people feel most keenly yet never acknowledge until you sing it."

@Honeyitworks Do yourself a favor and pick up all of her albums made within the last ten years- starting with "I Am Shelby Lynne" leading all the way up to her newest one "Tears Lies And Alibis". She does a great job of balancing country music and soul music. Think of her as the country Mary J. Blige.

Shelby is a country artist who has been around since 1987... born in Virginia and raised in Alabama. Her songs in the last 15 years or so mostly have been blues-influenced country. She has a sultry deep voice that lends itself to blues really well. Far more talent than she was credited for. Glad to see her getting kudos from non-country fans.
