@willsgotbeer Dude I have a NES that got dropped down the stairs, is always covered in dust, had a drink split on it nd got stepped on by my fat friend and it's still working 10 Years later. If 80's tech can last that long then 2-3 years for 21st century tech is not long enough quit lying to yourself.

My xbox has been going strong for 2 1/2 years now with no precausionary checking or cleaning admittedly I got rrod last week but 2-3 years is good for any console.

xbox is better in horizontal position...secondly put adaptor in open space and keep the adaptor clean...play it only for 3-4 hours a day..,wait for about 15 minutes before turn off the xbox.its too make sure that the console is cool enough and not overheat it when you turn it off...hope this help xbox gamers stop the rrod problem..any questions can me ask lol

@Darksider087 it is not wrong to clean it with a vaccum cleaner but u should maintain a good distance from the xbox and the vaccum cleaner
