The first time I was staying in the Valle was 1987. Very unsafe and dangerous street to drive over the Island. There was of course the famous Bamboo und Grass house in front of Maria and we were sitting there at the steps, drank cafe con leche before or after staying at the playa ingles. Also the YAYA Bar was at the side of the beach. And last but not least the nice cacatua bar before or after dancing in the quasimodo! And of course we stay on to visit la gomera, its magic.
