@SylviesBoudoir Many thanks for your kind words... been practicing for years! Hope it goes well for you. Where are you performing?

I really like your accent and your voice lends itself beautifully to this wonderful monolgue. I am performing A Chip in the Sugar on 4th September. Listening to your accent to get it just right. Well done.

cheers muchly - glad you like it!
All the best!

I've just recently got into Talking Heads and think it's a work of genius. I was just looking to see if there were people who'd done a take on it ... and there you were. I think you do a great job and really enjoyed watching , good work fella.

@russella01 Many thanks :) I really should've slowed it down though... I do a much better version now I have to say. Ive a few other 'Alan' style vids on here too... Check out my channel. Again... Thanks for the kind comments... although Mam says "here Graham... Folk aren't nice to you just for the sake of it". I said, "What do you mean?" "well" she said, "Look at the time the vicar told Dad how tidy his privet hedge looked... the next thing, Dad's helping move jumble for him!" :D

Hi. The show of an evening of Alan Bennett went well last night. My accent was not as good as yours but it was a big success.

We have just set up the Birnbeck Actors Company and our first production is three monologues in an evening. Bed Among the Lentils, A Chip in the Sugar and Her BIg Chance. We are performing near Weston-super-Mare. I performed this in January so second round! I LOVE alan Bennett's work. I love how funny things are in his plays and at the same time their mundaness and that sadness at the heart of each character. Brilliant.

@SylviesBoudoir sounds good to me! :) Pity I don't live closer, I'd love to see. Three great moniologues there. Also love "A LAdy Of Letters". The very best of luck with it - Alan's THE master when it comes to great dialogue - "As Mam said... Tesco - you could understand it!"
